The Nigeria Hunters’ Council, Kebbi State chapter, on Thursday, expressed readiness to complement the efforts of security operatives in tackling banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping, and other forms of criminalities across the country.

Musa Hussaini-Rambow, Kebbi State Commander of the council, made the disclosure during a visit to One Battalion, Nigerian Army, Birnin Kebbi, and the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.

He explained that the primary objective of the council is to secure the forests and bushes where criminals have turned into their hideouts.

The Commander, who sought the support and cooperation of the Nigerian Army and NSCDC, also urged the security agencies to assist the council with the training of its personnel, drills, and statement writing among others.

Responding, the Commanding Officer of the battalion, Maj. I. Onyemabo, assured the readiness of the army to work with the hunters’ council to restore peace in the country.

Also responding, the NSCDC Commander in the state, Musa Bala, described security as everybody’s responsibility that needed support and cooperation of all while assuring to work with the hunters in terms of operations and intelligence gathering.
