Uju reassures Niger Delta Media Forum on partnershipThe member representing Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta and Oru West federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Kingsley Uju has reiterated his
earlier promise to partner with the members of Niger Delta Media Forum (NDMF) practising journalists from the oil rich local governments of the zone for the development of the area.

In an interactive session with the forum on Sunday in his country home Egbema in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, Uju told journalists that he appreciated their prayers, support and goodwill before, during and after the election that saw him victorious at the 2019 poll, hence he would not intend the relationship to end or take it for granted.

Meanwhile, the federal lawmaker spoke on his legislative assignments and campaign promises to the people of the area and remarked that both parties would pull their resources together to ensure that he actually become their mouthpiece in order to actualize their aspirations, ambitions and dividends of democracy.

According to him, he has raised two motions on the floor of the House on flooding and insecurity in his constituency and another motion on the abandoned Osemoto Sea Port which is located in Oguta, in the state.
The deputy committee chairman on Public Procurement further assured the people that he would use his good offices to ensure that what is due to Imo people especially Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West reaches them without obstructions from hijackers like roads, water, electricity and other pressing needs of the people.

On why he has been on the lips of rumour mongers on the alleged embezzlement of funds belonging to ISOPADEC and Adapalm communities, Uju said that some political opponents cashed in on the issue to bring his name to disrepute and attributed the alleged saga to jealousy on his rising political profile.

“I promise to partner with anyone especially the media for the development of our constituency and assure the people of not regretting working and voting for me.”
