Following the peaceful protest by workers of  the Obowo Local Government in Imo State sometime last week during which they locked the gates to the council, protesting delay in the payment of salary, some of them have started getting the alert over the weekend.

It was reliably gathered that the payment alerts started on Friday, August 2, 2019.

Though it took the special intervention of the traditional rulers in the area to persuade the Transition Committee chairman, Hon. Jasper to do the needful.
