The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere yesterday called on every well meaning Nigerian to extend support to the families of fallen heroes to ameliorate their sufferings.

Prince Madumere made this call during a special church service in memory of Nigerian fallen heroes in the Chapel of Praise at his his country home in Achi-Mbieri, Mbaitoli local government of Imo State.

Prince Madumere also called for special prayers for the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic for God’s protection as they continue to make sacrifices for the protection of life and property and the territorial integrity of Nigeria.

He also praised them for their effort in bringing to the bearest minimum the operations and occupation of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents in the North East, saying development is only an elusive concept in an environment of conflicts and war.

He also extolled the Buhari led Federal Government for its seriousness to stamp out insurrection of some terrorist sects and other blood-letting-happy elements against the peace, progress and unity of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He commended Governor Okorocha for his stance on issues that concern support to the Security agencies so as to aid them in the course of their uneasy task of protecting life and property. He also praised the number one citizen of Imo State, in the same vein, for his undiluted passionate stance on issues that concern the welfare of Nigeria Legion and the families of the fallen heroes so as to help in ameliorating the sufferings.

His words; “Today’s service is a special one. Let us remember our fallen heroes who have had to pay the supreme price that we may live in freedom and and one indivisible entity. Let us remember their families not only in prayers but also with our means. Every patriotic Nigerian must do everything within his reach to ensure these families also have access to to basic things of life so as to reduce the pains of loss of head of their families. Let is remember our soldiers who are keeping vigil to ensure that we are free from the harassment of enemy groups especially the terrorist groups in the North East…”

Earlier in the church service presided by Venerable Sunday Iheruo, after his sermon themed “Courage Before Challenges” reading from Joshua verse 5 charged the Nigerian Armed Forces to be of good cheer and be courageous in their noble profession to ensure that Nigeria is free from bondage of darkness occasioned by its enemies in many forms. He charged to take courage from the God of host. He also superintended a special prayers for the Armed Forces and the families of the fallen heroes.

In the same vein, Hon. Member of Imo State House of Assembly representing Mbaitoli State Constituency, Hon. Ifeanyi Nnataraonye hailed Nigerian Military for their effort in safeguarding the hard earned freedom of the people while joining Imo Deputy Governor in calling for support to the families of the fallen heroes. Others in attendance of the church service were the Speaker, Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Comrd. Godstime Samuel, Chief Martin Opara, SUG President of Imo State University and his Vice among numerous others who visited home from the diaspora…
