Apparently dismayed by the activities and conduct of three of their own, the Imo State House of Assembly has announced indefinite suspension of Hon Prince Obinna Egu, (Ngor-Okpala), Hon Lawman Duruji (Ehime Mbano) and Hon ( Mrs) Ngozi Obiefule (Isu) State Constituencies respectively.

Making the disclosure at the floor of the House yesterday the Speaker, Rt Hon ( Dr ) Acho Ihim noted that the image and integrity of the House has been severally battered and ridiculed by the unsavoury conduct of the suspended members.

Rt Hon Ihim who stated that a disciplinary committee would be constituted to investigate their matter maintained that the House leadership could no longer fold its hands and watch some of their members tarnish their hard-earned image and that of the state government.
In a related development, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP caucus in the State Assembly has made some of their Principal Officers.

According to a letter read at plenary by the Speaker, Rt Hon ( Dr ) Acho Ihim, the member for Ahiazu Mbaise, Hon Kenneth Agbim takes over from Hon Obinna Egu as the new Minority Leader, while Hon Emma Orie replaces Hon Mike Iheanetu as the new minority whip as Hon Bruno Ukoha steps in as the deputy minority leader of the state assembly.
