I took time to listen to the new release of former Chief Comedian of Government House under the present government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha also called governor’s clown and one question that comes to my mind having followed the activities of the comedian turned politician’s activities since 2011 is who is fooling who? Was it not Ogbuagu that destroyed Ikedi Ohakim for Rochas Okorocha?

After the general elections 2011, Hon. Uche Ogbuagu was appointed the Chief Comedian or clown of Government House Owerri a position which he went on to personally elevate in the sight of  curious people to SA on Entertainment and there were cases of alleged defrauding of Imo State entertainers and show biz promoters who wanted to do things with his so called office.
Before 2011 election, Uche Ogbuage released a CD against the then governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim which went on to spread like a wild fire virally because of the massive hatred people had for governor Ohakim. After that and other appearances during Gov. Rochas Okorocha’s campaign in 2010/2011, he was rewarded with his  political appointed position as well as other privileges which a radio programme where the Rescue Mission was praised was one of them.
Many Imolites who can never remember yesterday have forgotten that the same Uche Ogbuagu who released Ka Opuo is the same man who has been singing praises for the same administration. Uche Ogbuagu is therefore a contradiction of himself and cannot possibly deceive anyone while pursuing self-actualization or selfish ends.
Practicing what he is preaching
What are we to expect from a Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria [TAN] Coordinator? With Uche Ogbuagu as a coordinator in TAN, he is expected to say nothing but things that will speak against APC and Governor Okorocha whom he made number one target in a fashion of your best could be your worst enemy as Bob Marley would say.
Hon. Ogbuagu wants us to forget that he said the same thing against Ohakim, and also worked for Gov. Okorocha for years going on air every week on Orient FM to speak evil against the activities of the opposition party in Imo State [PDP] whom he is now working for just for a piece of the filthy lucre.
Hon. Ogbuagu condemned corruption, the same thing he is guilty of during his time as the Chief Comedian of Government House.
He complained about lies, but we only know of a certain Chief Comedian/clown who changed his Office to SA, just to get people to pay him. Those who live in glass house should avoid throwing pebbles. He is an accomplice anyway.
He talked about not paying Igbos but paying Northerners yet we know of one self-acclaimed SA on entertainment who wanted indigenous artistes to be paying levies to his office.
It is a long list on how Hon. Ogbuagu failed woefully to practice what he is presently preaching.
Wrong Analysis of Leaders of Tomorrow
When he complained about the poor conditions of Nigerian Youths, I just wondered why he did not know that he was invariably referring to the cumulative poor performances of his new ‘Ogas at the top’, President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP stalwarts in Imo State.
He tried to blame the leaders of not favouring the youths in their administration, forgetting that President Goodluck Jonathan is the number culprit of this crime. Maybe his attention was shifted to the Likes of Buhari, but I still wonder what the ages of Obasanjo, Yaradua and Jonathan are, none of them are youths which means Hon. Uche Ogbuagu got it all wrong on this one note.
Heroic or clownish
Saying he did not get anything right on the CD would be total blasphemy but the truth still remains that honey in a dirty bottle is different from honey in a clean bottle.
Someone wrote on Facebook that should Gov. Okorocha fail to win in the forthcoming election, Uche Ogbuagu would be seen as one of the political game changers of our time.
Does working for the opposition always make one a hero? The week Uche Ogbuagu resigned from Gov. Okorocha’s administration, he anchored the traditional wedding of Chief Okedi Ohakim’s daughter and so far, he has been rewarded with his position in TAN. This is a good reason for anyone to believe that the whole thing is all about politics, a game which has come to be associated with total lack of morals in Nigeria.
After raising propaganda to make an opponent lose in an election, can a politician still be called a hero or a liar?
His promotional strategy
Uche Ogbuagu had the best heads working with him in the publicity of his latest release and as an entertainer, he brought in the scandal method which most people use in promotion to make the world await the release of his work.
First he said his life was in danger, providing phone numbers of high profile politicians in the cabinet of Gov. Okorocha, as those phone lines used in threatening him and as if that was not enough, there was also another news that someone had stolen the entire CD that he printed.
One would begin to wonder why a sitting governor would want to kill and destroy a comedy CD produced by his famous employee., or comedian appointee when he knows the poor Uche Ogbuagu is simply playing politics of stomach infrastructure? Ofcourse, he can succeed in deceiving Aba residents with Abananya but to think that his gang would make a meaning in Owerri is self-deceit and idiotic.
After the threats and stealing of the CD, it finally hit the market weeks before election and it was supposed to be trending till February 28, when the governorship election was supposed to have been held.
Effects of INEC’s postponement
As someone who has carefully analyzed the entertainment industry, it is clear that the postponement of the elections by six weeks will surely diminish the planned effects of the CD which was scripted to still be fresh in the minds of everyone who listens to it.
In six weeks time, the CD might have gone obsoletely down the CD shelves of many families and others might as well have their’s cracked by that time.
Had Hon. Ogbuagu known that the election would be shifted, he will not be releasing the CD when he did, he would have waited again till few weeks to the election because every release has a shelf life and Ka O Puo might be outliving its own usefulness in six weeks time
Every disappointment is a blessing.
Comedian or Politician
Hon. Ogbuagu is no longer the entertainment guru we used to know. He has become a politician who is used as filthy rag and attack dog by politicians to achieve their selfish aims.
He should also understand that any dog in the habit of biting his master will one day sleep under the rain.
While he is saying Ka Opuo, he should also be aware that there are four other fingers pointing back at him. He should pray harder that his plans works. Because if it doesn’t, he would fall back to the comedian he used to be, making comedy CDs for people to buy. It does not matter how much of the N21 Billion presidential war chest secures. These things don’t last.
I haven’t seen any president campaigning after winning or losing an election, so should his masters fail, we would be waiting for another release from him in 2019 because he has turned it into a four year affair.
