“At a point music ceased to be a thing of quality or class but a thing of genre. Only dance-hall artistes are recognized and just as it is known as commercial music, there is this believe that it is the only type of music that can sell in Nigeria.
Rappers are converting to singers and every day we see lyrics recycled on instrumentals that look alike. Things like this can never move me because I will keep being an R&B artiste till the end”
Kemzy who wants to toe the paths of Akon, John Legend and Bruno Mars said his songs are mostly inspired by happenings around him also revealing that on the afro side of music he is looking up to the likes of Tuface Idibia, WizKid and Banky W.
His former works include ‘We will live together’ and ‘Shower your love’ featuring music producer cum singer, D7.
