Singer, Floxy who was billed to release the single ‘Are You Ready’ on Friday May, 16, 2014 which was also her birthday has revealed why she did not go ahead with the plan.
According to Floxy, the release of the single will be on hold for the moment because of the current #BringBackOurGirls campaign going on in Nigeria and beyond for the Chibok School girls abducted Boko Haram.

She said, “They are girls like me and I imagine what they are going through every day, staying away from their families and school against their will; this is something we must lend whatever weight we have against”
Floxy however denied that she is using the campaign for publicity like others celebrities and politicians in the country are doing by saying “I could have just walked into the studio and do a song like others, I could have taken a picture with a cardboard saying ‘Bring Back Our Girls’. But will those things bring them back? No. Nevertheless, it will go a long way in sensitizing people. Nigeria is in a sad mood at the moment and so many things have been shelved for these girls and I am adding my own weight to it. Let this be my little sacrifice because I’m not a soldier and so can’t take a trip to Sambisa”
‘Are You Ready’ which is a super dance-hall track, according to the singer will be at the same level with every other song done by those that will be considered as the best female artistes in the country.
Floxy who however admitted that she is not yet at the top, declared she would be taking a huge jump with the upcoming single and apologized to her fans for canceling the single release.
“I’m not bragging, but ‘Are You Ready’ will be rubbing shoulders with the very best in the country and I hope to take a huge jump with it in my musical career.
I apologize to my fans who are waiting for the single all over the country and beyond; it will still come your way.
Delay is not denial, but meanwhile let us #BringBackOurGirls” she added.
