An entertainer, Celestino Mahib, aka Iamshakez, is one man who believes in pursuing all his dreams.

The United Kingdom-based Sierra Leonean DJ, who recently released a single titled, ‘Pain’, noted that ‘as a music lover, he started learning how to DJ while he was pursuing a university degree.

Speaking on the new song, he said, “The song is actually about my life. It talks about my struggles before having a breakthrough, and finding stardom in the entertainment industry.”

The entertainer also stated that making music does not affect his disc-jockeying career. He said, “I am a very professional and precise person, who strives to do the best in whatever task I am saddled with. I plan my schedule carefully, and I make sure I do the right things at the right time. That has greatly help me to compartmentalize my disc-jockeying and singing careers.”

Iamshakez, who has worked with international artistes, including The Game, Snoop Dogg, Tory Lanez, 6ix9ine, Skepta, Stormzy, Fatman Scoop and Fetty Wap maintained that he was passionate about his roots in Sierra Leone. He said, “I love carrying my country’s flag whenever I perform because I am proud of where I come from. I do it to show the love I have for my country, even though I am based in London, UK.

The singer stated that his biggest career moment was when he played at an event with American rapper, Snoop Dog, in Manchester, UK.
