The convoy of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, was on Sunday involved in an auto crash while on its way to Makurdi from Abuja.

The governor, was, however, not in the convoy as of the time of the crash.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Terver Akase, in a statement issued on Sunday confirmed that the governor’s convoy was involved in an accident shortly after accompanying the governor to the Abuja airport.

Ortom is expected to spend two weeks both in the United Kingdom and United States of America.
