Nigeria Professional Football League outfit, Enyimba have mourned the death of their former head coach, Maurice Cooreman, reports Completesports.com.

Cooreman died in Belgium on Tuesday at the age of 79.

“We are saddened by news of the
death of our former coach, Maurice Coreman,”the club wrote on the social message on Wednesday.

“The Belgian led Enyimba to our 5th league crown
in 2007 and will always be remembered for his
firmness, passion and dedication to the game.

“Our deepest condolences go the family and
friends that he has left behind.”

Aside Enyimba, Cooreman also managed a number of clubs in Nigeria including Bendel Insurance, Lobi Stars, Gabros International, NPA and Ocean Boys.

He also had stints with Kaduna United, Warri Wolves , Gombe United, Ikorodu United and Akwa United.

Cooreman led Ocean Boys to the title in 2006 and also guided Kaduna United to a historic Federation Cup glory in 2010.
