Sallah Festivities: Follow traffic regulations or face prosecution – FRSC warns motorists

The Federal Road Safety FRSC has warned motorists against violation of traffic regulations, especially during the Eid-El Fitr celebration.

This was contained in a statement signed by spokesman Jigawa State FRSC Command, Ibrahim Gambo, issued to DAILY POST.

Gambo said the Command is working to ensure the free flow of traffic on all the roads within the state and to ensure the safety of lives and property during the forthcoming 2022 Eid-El Fitr celebrations.

He said the state Sector Commandant, Ahmed Mohammed has ordered the deployment of all its personnel and logistics for patrol, surveillance and traffic control from 29th April to the 4th of May 2022.

” We are going to deploy 345 personnel, comprising Officers, Marshals and 45 Special Marshals, 8 patrol vehicles as well as 3 live supporting ambulances across the State to ensure hitch-free celebration”

He appealed to motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations within the festive period.

The Commandant said the FRSC will collaborate with other security agencies and the judiciary to prosecute underage drivers and reckless drivers.
