The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, says it is currently compiling a list of governors in the region who embezzled public funds, saying they will not be allowed to occupy any political office in the forthcoming election.

In a statement issued by the President-General of the coalition, Goodluck Ibem, he expressed sadness over alleged high level of corruption by some governors in the region, stating that the “sharp practices of some of these governors have dragged their states backward economically and otherwise”.

The coalition called on all citizens of the region to join hands in ensuring that no corrupt individual occupied any political office in 2023.
