A Chinese aircraft with at least 133 passengers onboard has reportedly crashed.

The Boeing 737 aircraft was reported to have crashed on a hill in the Guangxi province southern, China.

According to Chinese official media, the aircraft operated by Chinese Eastern Airlines was travelling on a domestic route from Kunming to Guangzhou.

Rescue crews are on their way to the crash site said to be on fire, CCTV reports.

The number of casualties is yet to be ascertained at the time of writing this report.
