Madonna University Alumni Association Imo State Chapter has elected new executive on Sunday February 21, 2021.
The election saw nine persons emerge as members of the new executive that will pilot the affairs of the association for the next three years.
The election which took place at Cubana Owerri, Imo State saw Mr. Henry Ogu emerge as Chairman, while 8 others emerged unopposed just as the Chairman.
The electoral Committee led by Barr. Chimeremeze Philip Ogwuegbu announced the winners of the election with Mr. Chinedu Hardy Nwadike a former National Publicity Secretary standing in as the observer for the National Executive.
Mr. Ndiokwere Akaolisa who previously declared for the position of the Chairman stepped down for Mr. Henry Ogu and then declared for the Vice Chairman position.
He said that his decision will ensure that MUAA Imo State is in best hands, adding that he will not be relenting in doing his best to ensure that a new chapter is opened for the association.
Ms. Vivian Nnodim who was a member of the Electoral Committee resigned her position to declare for the office of the Public Relations Officer P.R.O, while the committee replaced her with Mrs. Nelly Njoku.

Winners at the election are.
- Mr. Henry Ogu – Chairman – 18 votes
- Mr. Ndiokwere Akaolisa – Vice Chairman – 17 votes
- Barr. Ethelbert Ezeh – Secretary – 17 votes
- Ms. Daberechi Ebonnadozie- – Assistant Secretary – 18 votes
- Mr. Odoemena Chukwudi – Financial Secretary – 17 votes
- Assumpta Onwukwe – Treasurer – 17 votes
- Ms. Vivian Nnodim – P.R.O – 15 votes
- Barr. Mike Omire – Provost – 16 votes
- Oluchi Ozuzu – Welfare Officer – 17 votes
24 persons were present at the meeting with 20 eligible to vote. Three persons are members of the electoral committee, while one person is representing the national executive.
The newly elected executive will be sworn in at the next General Meeting.
The election is coming close to the expiration of the tenure an Interim Management Committee IMC comprising of Mr. Henry Ogu, Barr. Ethelbert Ezeh and Barr. Kingsley Ohiri.
The IMC has been in charge of the affairs of association since September 2020, after the expiration of the tenure of the previous executive.
