Project Nigeria, a political pressure group, has emerged, to drive the Minister of State, Education, Hon.Emeka Nwajiuba, to become president of Nigeria in 2023.

There has been intense agitation for Igbo to produce Nigeria’s next President in 2023 at the end of the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Nwajiuba, a former member of the House of Representatives, two times governorship candidate in Imo state, has received tremendous backing to join the race for the presidency in 2023.

According to Sir Chinedu Comrade Ogubuike, KSM, National Secretary, Project Nigeria group, he said the group is the official support group for Hon.Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba for 2023 presidential project.

According to him, the group is led by Prof. Armay’au Hamisu Bichi, from Kano State, who is the National Co ordinator, while a fourth term member of the House of Representatives representing Ukwa Federal Constituency, Rt Hon.Nkem.Abonta, is the South East Co ordinator of the group.

The statement which also listed other officials of the group, stated that “Nwajiuba is a global brand making himself available to serve our country Nigeria as No 1 citizen come 2023 by the special grace of God’

Nwajiuba had vied for the Governorship of Imo State twice on the platform of the defunct, All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, and Congress For Progressive Change, CPC.

The two political parties were legacy political parties which formed the All Progressive Congress, APC.

A known ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, Nwajiuba, analysts say, falls into the category of an Igbo accepted in the North.

He is among those who played vital roles during the formation of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Posters with Nwajiuba’s image aspiring for President supported by some members of the APC in the North had surfaced strengthening speculations that indeed,the Minister is really in the race for the Presidency in 2023.

The Minister is however yet to officially announce his presidential ambition.
