The former governor of Imo State and Senator, representing Imo West Senatorial District, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Monday, visited the family of Late Engr. Ezekiel Izuogu, in his Abuja home. The Senator met with the wife of the Late Statesman, Mrs. Ngozi Izuogu and other members of the family.

Senator Okorocha described the Late Izuogu as an exemplary Christian and politician, whose interest in politics and for seeking leadership position was for the service of God and humanity.

He described Engr. Izuogu as one man who played politics with the fear of God and who never believed, in do or die brand of politics, pointing out that posterity and history would be fair to him when the detailed story of the nation’s politics will be told.

He prayed God to grant the gentle soul of Engr. Izuogu eternal rest. And also prayed that God would grant the wife, the children and all those he left behind to mourn him, the resilience to bear the great loss.

The wife of the Late Statesman, Mrs. Izuogu thanked Senator Okorocha for finding time to visit and console the family, and asked God to continue to protect him.
