Governor Uzodinma had come under criticisms for not assigning portfolios to his aides after he inaugurated them alongside with his Commissioners whom he assigned portfolios on the day of inauguration.
Only few of the Governor’s aides on Security, Sanitation, Political were assigned portfolios and defined designations.
A watchdog group in the State, the Imo Awareness Coalition, IAC, had called on the Governor to assign portfolios to his aides.
“Of what value are they, if they are not engaged or assigned portfolios? They should be engaged immediately and tasked to hit the ground running. That will send clear signals that the government means business” the IAC had said in statement endorsed by Fidelis Echendu, Publicity Secretary
