Princess Miriam Odinaka Onuoha of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the House of Representatives rerun election for the Isiala Mbano/Onuimo/Okigwe federal constituency in Imo State.

Princess Onuoha defeated her closest rival Obinna Onwubuariri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the rerun election that was held in 18 polling units in the constituency.

It would be recalled that an Appeal Court sitting in Owerri had upheld the sacking of Onwubuariri as the member representing Isiala Mbano/Onuimo/Okigwe federal constituency in the House of Representatives.

This followed Princess Onuoha’s ability to prove her claim of over-voting, mutilation of figures and violence in the petition she filed at the tribunal.
