Former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha has expressed his gratitude to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for lifting the suspension slammed on him earlier this year.

Senator Okorocha described the lifting of the suspension on him by the party as good news which he received with a heart full of joy.

In a statement by his media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, the former governor said the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC acted well in lifting the suspension.

He pledged to remain a good party man and to work for the growth of the party in Imo Sate and the South East.

Okorocha who represents Imo West Senatorial District also thanked the leaders of the party especially President Muhammadu Buhari for the development.

The former governor was suspended for anti-party activities in the build-up to the last general elections after his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu failed to clinch the ticket of the APC for the 9th March governorship poll in the state.

Okorocha is believed to have encouraged and supported Nwosu to defect to the Action Alliance (AA) to still gun for the governorship seat.
