Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Chief Marcon Nlemigbo, says the party is still alive in the state.

He made the declaration while addressing the members at the Okigwe Road secretariat of the party in Owerri.

Nlemigbo who urged the stakeholders not to despair used the auspicious occasion to present the only member of the party who had just won an elective position in the state, Hon. Anthony Emeka Nduka, to represent Ehime-Mbano Local Government Area at the state House of Assembly.

Chief assured of regular meetings by the party henceforth, urging the members to always reach the leadership for any thing they wanted.

The embattled party leader assured of its transformation in the state between now and January 2020, saying that he was being ‘fired’ on his efforts by the likes of EJK Onyewuchi who he said encourages him.

Meanwhile, the party has cried out over its loss of sixteen seats in the House of Representatives and two in the Senate.

The Publicity Secretary cum Legal Adviser, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu, made the lamentation at the maiden stakeholders’ meeting of the party since the year after its now total defeat in the general elections in the state.

In a related development, the former party chairman, Dr. Hilary Eke, has said that the get together was to organize members, take stock, and forge ahead.

He stated that as a party in charge of the Federal Government members had no choice than to come together and continue to look up.
