On Sunday, the third match of the Imo Radio League saw two guest teams Bloggers/Print Media and NTA Owerri share the points in a four goal thriller where both teams had to score at either halves.
NTA looked like they were winning it when a member of the Bloggers/Print Media team kicked the ball into his own net at the first half, followed by a well taken shot by an NTA player to make it 2:0 before the break.
After the break, Bloggers/Print Media who looked more organized got back into the game with a neatly taken free kick by Hardy to make it 2:1 after which the defender and captain of the Bloggers/Print Media side got his brace from the penalty spot when an NTA defender handled the ball inside the area.
With the score line at 2:2 after full time, it was the first draw of the tournament which has had all the matches played at Kanu Nwankwo Sports Center, Owerri.
In other matches, on Saturday, Reach FM thrashed Zanders FM in an entertaining match which ended in 3:0, while Darling FM came from behind to beat My Radio/Gold FM in a 2:1 score line. Group A has Reach FM topping the table with goal difference ahead of Darling FM, while My Radio/Gold FM and Zanders FM who are still without a win share the bottom spots.
Meanwhile, none of Zanders FM and Darling FM ladies could find the back of the net in a warm up match arranged as part of the opening formalities of the tournament, but they still entertained the cheering crows with their moves at the Kanu Nwankwo Sports Center.
The next Group B match will be between Orient FM and Ozisa FM at Kanu Nwankwo Sports Center, Owerri.
