The government of Imo State has said it would order citizen arrest on the immediate past governor, Rochas Okorocha if he continues to allegedly breach of peace and order in the state.

Uche Onyeagucha, Secretary to the state government, stated this while reacting to the attack of Jasper Ndubuaku, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Emeka Ihedioha on Security Matters by alleged loyalists of Okorocha, yesterday.

Ndubuaku, who is also the Chairman, Imo Moveable Assets Recovery Committee, had led his team with a court order to Okorocha’s Owerri residence, Spibat, to recover some items supposedly belonging to the state government which were allegedly housed there.

Onyeagucha said no amount of intimidation would stop the state government from recovering all properties and funds allegedly stolen by the ex administration.

He assured that the government would with assistance of the security agencies apprehend those who perpetrated the attack on the Governor’s aide.

He said, “we are sure that he (Okorocha) has gotten the message that he is not welcomed here to come and cause trouble. If he comes here again to cause trouble, we will arrest him with or without security agencies.

Also, narrating his ordeal, Ndubuaku said he was beaten and held hostage for some hours by the some thugs in the presence of security men attached to Okorocha’s residence during the process.

According to him,“We have gotten a court order to recover stolen properties kept in Okorocha’s house and when we got to his house on Thursday, armed thugs attacked us.

“There are twenty government vehicles in Okorocha’s house, four Speed Boats, one movable Crane and Generator Sets which we went to recover before the attack.
“We will not give up the battle, we will go back to his house because those properties belongs to Imo government.”
