Senior Special Assistant on Information and Advocacy to Imo state Governor, Adaora Onyechere, has described the Imo First Lady, Ebere Ihedioha as one who is passionate to improve the standard of living of women in the society.

Speaking to newsmen during the Imo Women August meeting tour of the Imo First Lady held in Okigwe Local Government Area on Saturday, Onyechere stated that the August meeting theme for this year ” Empowering women in the Rebuild Imo Project” was one carefully chosen to make the women folks know that they have a role to play in the present administration, adding that she is pleased to see that the women of Okigwe LGA are ready to partner with the rebuild administration of Gov. Ihedioha for more dividends of democracy.

Onyechere, discarded the insinuations been made that the present administration is marginalizing women, stating that Ihedioha has appointed more women with capacity in hisgovernment, and that is the reason the Imo First Lady is embarking on the August meeting tour to further extend the rebuild administration empowerment of more women in Imo state.

She revealed that 646 indigent women in various communities in the State will be gainfully empowered by Lady Ebere Ihedioha during her tour of the 27 LGAs in Imo state, stressing that the wife of the Governor has come to give women a voice in the present dispensation.

Adaora Onyechere, called on Imo women to continue to show solidarity to the present administration of Ihedioha, so as to feel more impact of true dividends of democracy in Imo state.
