Hon. Chiji Collins emerges Imo House of Assembly Speaker

The member representing Isiala Mbano State constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Chiji Collins has emerged Speaker unopposed.

Hon. Chiji who recently decamped from All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA to Peoples Democratic Party PDP became the only PDP House Member in the PDP from Okigwe Zone and so ran unopposed as assembly business kicks off .

Barr. Okey Onyekamma representing Mbaitoli Constituency also emerged deputy speaker unopposed after his nomination by Hon. Uju Onwudiwe and seconded by Hon. Anyadike Nwosu.

Hon. Chiji Collins who becomes the Speaker in favour of all previous predictions was nominated by Hon. Lawman Duruji, while the motion was seconded by Hon. Kennedy Ibe (Obowo Constituency), who was also previously tipped to emerge as the Speaker.
