PDP leads Imo Assembly with 13 seats

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has won four out of the five Local Government Areas where supplementary elections held in Imo State on Saturday, bringing to a total of 13 Assembly seats won by the party.

The Action Alliance (AA) clinched the remaining LGA to win a total of eight Assembly seats, while the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) won a total of six Assembly seats.

Meanwhile, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) did not win in any of the 27 Council Areas.

The supplementary election held in Ngor-Okpala, Ikeduru, Oguta, Isu and Orlu LGAs.

The election was characterised by heavy voter apathy and violence

With the outcome of the result, the PDP now has the majority seat in the incoming House of Assembly.
