President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday met behind closed doors with the Catholic Priest and Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Mbaka, who predicted President Buhari’s victory over the then President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 Presidential election, arrived the forecourt of the State House at midday.

The catholic cleric recently came under intense attack by critics over his outburst in a video, where he chastised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s vice presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi for not donating money to his congregation.

Although he later apologised to Obi who had remained calm at the adoration ground, despite what was viewed as unwarranted attack that the former Anambra State governor ought to openly announce his donation to the ministry.

Mbaka, who arrival through the security gate in a maroon colour BMW car, proceeded straight to the president’s office complex.

Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani also arrived about the same time and went to the President’s office.

Though State House correspondents had waited to know why he was at the Presidential Villa, they could not speak with the cleric as he exited through a security gate.

Meanwhile, Nigeria Diaspora for Buhari (NDB) has disclosed plans to host symposia in New York/New Jersey area, Atlanta, Houston United states of America (USA), to drum support for the re-election of President Muhammad Buhari.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to grace the event on dates that would be released later.

In a statement to The Guardian by the organisers, its leader, Dr. Baba Adam, disclosed that the initiative is in collaborations with members of Nigerian organisations, FDI/friends of Nigeria and professionals of Nigerian descents in the USA, and in 69 other countries, with the theme: “meet-the-people, next-level-agenda.”

The group disclosed that the event would be aired globally in 70 countries, including Nigeria, UK, France, Ukraine, Germany, Russia, Germany, Canada, China, India, South Africa, UAE, Poland and Israel.
The group further explained that symposia would be used to provide platforms for the NDB to enumerate the achievements of Buhari/Osinbajo administration in Nigeria.

According to the statement, apart from the objective of creating global awareness among Nigerians in diaspora, and highlighting the NextLevel Agenda of the Buhari administration, NDB plans a structure that will link, ignite, and harness innovative capacity-building assets of diaspora and friends of Nigeria in the USA, GB, UAE, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, China, Japan, Russia, Nigeria and 60 other countries.
