United Progressive Party UPP has slashed the prices of their Nomination/Expression of Interest Form Fees to accommodate more youths and women in their party.

The information which was made available to www.otowngist.com by Hon. Tony Nwulu, a frontline guber aspirant in Imo State, has it that youths who are 30 years and below will get the forms free of charge, while physically challenged aspirants and women of all ages will be getting the forms for free.

Hon. Nwulu who championed the revolutionary Not-Too-Young-To-Run bill, had earlier promised that his administration if elected governor of Imo State will have lots of youths in key positions and this development is showing how much he can do to better the lives and aspiration of young people in the state and beyond.

He then stated that the price cut will offer credible youths and individuals in Imo State and Nigeria the opportunity to run for political office without spending a lot of money as it is done in other parties.

“UPP declares free Nomination/Expression of Interest Form Fees for 30yrs and below. Meaning every young aspirant of 30yrs and below can now run for Federal House of Representatives or State Assembly by simply joining UPP in their ward”

“While you’ll be expected to pay a minimum of N3m in other political parties, The United Progressive Party (UPP) has in the spirit of the #NOTTOOYOUNGTORUN offered this waiver to young aspirants. No more excuse of “I don’t have money to buy form. Forms for Female and physically challenged aspirants in all categories and all ages are free”, Hon. Nwulu said.

After the cut in price, he then revealed the new prices to be the following:
Governorship: Before N5m, Now N3m.
Senate: Before N1m, Now N500,000.
House of Reps: Before N500,000 Now N200,000.
State Assembly: Before N250,000 Now N50,000
