As part of the events marking the 2018 edition of ‘Iri Ji Mbaise’ the traditional rulers of Mbaise Nation have conferred on the Chief of Staff Government House Owerri, and Imo State gubernatorial aspiral Uche Nwosu the title of ‘Ugwumba Oha Nile Mbaise’.
The event which was nwitnessed by thousands of supporters and dignitaries took place against initial call by some Mbaise indigenes to call it off.
Iri Ji Mbaise has in most cases been a subject of controversies as politicians have seen it as one point they can use to talk to people of the region.
