A Governorship Aspirant in Imo State under the platform of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, Dr Linus Okorie has made it clear that whoever is dreaming of being the next Governor of Imo State in 2019 must think outside the Box to provide the initiative that would place Imo State in another level, adding that he has the capacity.

The renowned Motivational Speaker made this known to Media Chiefs while speaking in Owerri yesterday.

The Oguta LGA born technocrat of world repute maintained that Imo State needs all it takes place it on developmental map, but requires a sincere and transparent person who will not betray the masses.

He disclosed that for every society to move forward, a leader most live according to his words, which inspires the masses to move along his polices to produce the great change.

The Governorship hopeful said that he has all it takes to change Imo State for the better, and asked that he should be given the opportunity to drive both the natural and human resources that abound in the State for the maximum production for all.

He said that there is fortune in human development, which he said is an asset Imo has, but yet to be developed for the State’s advantage.

Linus Okorie hinted that he will attract the best brains Imo State has from everywhere to develop the State.

He bemoaned the abandonment of the Agricultural Sector, which he said can provide a livewire for the State’s economy, pointing out that Imo State is not supposed to live on Federal Allocation alone, when it can develop its Agricultural Sector to the envy of other States.

Okorie expressed disappointment with the poor condition of Education Sector in Imo, adding that should he be given the opportunity in 2019 election, Imo State University, IMSU would be turned to a Residential Institution, where students can learn in very conducive environment, pointing out that school scholarship should be given to intelligent indigent students, lamenting that a free-education policy without adequate and necessary facilities lowers the quality of education in the State.

The youthful Governorship Aspirant promised to give Imo youths the best opportunity to compete with their peers elsewhere in the world.
