Embattled Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, has said that there is no cause to worry as (nothing is happening) losing no sleep because of his current travails adding that he is in the hands of God.

Making a public appearance after members of the Imo State House of Assembly impeached him and no new Deputy Governor sworn in to replace him following a court order that halted the proceeding, Madumere said that “Nothing Mega” because God is in charge.

Speaking at the child dedication of an Owerri based Journalist, Mr Ikenna Onuoha in Owerri, an unperturbed Madumere who was also a quest noted that though the event is not the best forum for him to open but “Nothing Mega” because God is involved.

“I am yet to say anything or make any comment because this is not convenient place to do so. There is no need. Though this is not the forum, but “Nothing Mega” there is God, my hands are clean and God is with me”.

The Deputy Governor who was the cynosure of eyes at the event judging from the manner residents of the area rushed out to not only catch a glimpse of his face but also hear him speak, enjoined people of the state to brace up for the liberation of Imo from the shackles and manacles of a bad ruler. He added that the state doesn’t belong to one person alone, that is why we should all join forces now to liberate it from the wrong hands”, he added.

On his future political ambition, Madumere created the impression he is going to run for 2019 governorship race of Imo State when he opined that he will offer himself to serve. It would be recalled that Madumere after a micky-mouse game between him and the lawmakers was impeached and a new Deputy Governor, Callistus Ekenze given approval for swearing in. but the refusal of the Chief Judge based in court order to get ahead with the event halted the proceeding.

A kind of constitutional crisis ensued in the state. News had it that policemen and other security agencies attended to him were withdrawn while his official house and offices blocked.

However, when Madumere appeared, Trumpeta counted about three policemen in his convoy.

The Deputy Governor is yet to make any official statement than releases from the Chief Press Secretary, Uche Onunchekwe.

Present at the event were the former Secretary to the Imo State Government, Chief Jude Ejiogu past appointee of the government who accompanied Madumere, Ichie Best Mbanaso, Elder Statesman, Chief EJK Onyewuchi, former NUJ State Chairmen, Chief Fidel Onyeneke and Innocent Igwe, NUJ officials as well Media Chiefs including newspaper publishers.
