Imo artistes protest, as abductors demand N5m ransom for Ugo Stevenson, TwinStar

With kidnapping returning to Imo State, Imo Artistes will be taking to the streets on Monday, July 9, 2018 to protest the kidnapping of two Colleagues, Ugo Stevenson and Izuchukwu of TwinStar.

Although details of the kidnapping are still sketchy, an unconfirmed source has it that the abductors are demanding 7 million Naira ransom and friends and family members are already running around to raise the money.

The artistes who would be going on an early morning protest said ‘enough is enough’ after the release of Paulcy Iwuala who allegedly coughing out 7 million Naira ransom.

Ugo Stevenson aka Ndaa Chineke is a former Nigeria Highlife Artiste of Year, who has also been seen as an active voice in social activism in Imo State.

An earlier report has his wife confirm the abduction since Wednesday July 4, 2018, while many Imolites are calling on the state police command to do something about the increasing rate of kidnapping in the Imo State.
