In what seems like better mental preparation ahead of 2019 Gubernatorial election in Imo State, one of the aspirants under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Hon. Tony Nwulu is presently attending a leadership course in Harvard University.
Hon. Nwulu who is the member representing Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency of Lagos State at the Federal House of Representatives, took to Instagram to share a picture of him and former President of Ecuador Jamil Mahuad, with the latter being the lecturer in one of the courses he was taking.
Jamil Mahuad was President of Ecuador from 1998 to 2000, brought fiscal discipline and political stability to the nation, instituting economic reform policies, which focused on reducing government spending and improving tax collection mechanisms.
While away in the United States of America, Hon. Nwulu has had his name sung in many songs in Nigeria as Imo Youths had previously convened to urge him to run for the guber race in 2019.
He had also been visible as the sponsor of Imo PDP New Media State Wide Workshop in Owerri, on May 14, 2018, an event where member of the party were taught the latest skills on new media as well as how it can be used professionally to reposition the party.
At the Workshop, the secretary of the Party in Imo State, Hon. Ray Emeana hailed Hon. Nwulu as a proud Igbo son, adding that it takes a lot for and Igbo man to win House of Representatives seat in Lagos State.
Hon. Emeana further called on other aspirants in the party to toe the same path as Hon. Nwulu by supporting the party projects as they work towards repositioning to take back power come 2019.
Other participants at the workshop also hailed Hon. Nwulu as a perfect example of a pragmatic Nigerian youth willing to make a change in his time, as the House of Representatives member keeps receiving nationwide accolades for championing the Not-Too-Young-To-Run bill.
Upon his return, Hon. Tony Nwulu is expected to respond to the call by the youths by officially declaring to run for the 2019 gubernatorial election in Imo State.
