Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has become Sony’s highest-grossing film in North America of all time. The film beat Spider-Man at the box office with its earnings of $403.714 million from the initial $36 million debut.

With this, it joins Titanic and The Greatest Showman to (and surpasses them at the same time) become the biggest December releases of all time.

With a $90 million budget, the film is a major highlight for casts including Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black.

The film has also earned over $950 million worldwide making it the second highest grossing film for Sony globally. The first being the 2012 Skyfall with earnings of $1.1 billion.

The film was directed by Jake Kasdan and produced by Matt Tomach and William Teitler.
