State Executive Members of APC, the LGA chairmen from Owerri Zone and their secretaries had a crucial meeting with honorable Jasper Azuatalam in his Okuku Country home in Owerri West LGA of Imo State.
The highlight of the meeting was to congratulate them for one year extension of their tenure in order to strengthen and sustain the party’s Victory come 2019 and to chat way forward for Owerri Zone.
The Party Executives and the LGA chairmen of the 9 Local Government Areas of Owerri zone with the secretaries after an extensive discussion unanimously adopted Hon. Jasper Azuatalam as Owerri Zone leader following his office as a BOT member of the party with the promise to queue in Owerri zone Agenda for Imo gubernatorial election come 2019.
They stated that the endorsement saga that some of them were involved in was as a result of intimidation of removing their names from their various positions if they fail to sign the endorsement form but now that they have been liberated by the NEC decision, they will work according to their conscience by supporting their zone come 2019.
Honourable Jasper thanked them for such good decisions and promised never to allowed anyone undo them unnecessarily in the party. He admonished them for their doggedness in propagating the affairs of the ruling party.
