The newly placed billboard for what is tagged 2017 Pre-Carnival has not been taken well by Imo artistes as they have slammed the government for excluding them in the project.

The billboard which surfaced early this week has just the faces of Timaya and Slowdog as guest artistes while no Imo State based artistes has his name or face on it.

The artistes who are protesting said they are not even aware of the event, adding that it is too bad for an event of such magnitude to be taking place in the state with none of them involved.

Mr. Paddy Obinna who has been in charge of the carnival has often come under fire from the side of the artistes as this has always been the case, while others are urging the SA on entertainment, Hon Chukwunonye Irouno to do something before the December 23, 2017 event.

They lashed the government for always putting imported artistes first while their welfare is always something of the ordinary.

The likes of Nollywood comic actor, Egbeigwe Apama however urged the agitating artistes to forget the government and move on with their arts.
