Distinguished Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, the Senator representing Imo North senatorial district in the National Assembly, has sponsored a 4 days medical outreach program for the people of Okigwe zone.
The program which is in collaboration with Hope Foundation International, will take off in two phases, as phase 1 of the program is scheduled to start on the 29th of November 2017,at St Cyprian’s Anglican Church Premises, Ihitte-Uboma by 7 am.
According to a release by Senator Uwajumogu’s media office on Tuesday in Abuja, the second phase of the medical outreach program will commence by 7am on the 11th December 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, Umuna, Onuimo local government area.
Senator Uwajumogu maintained that the program was one of his health intervention initiatives to complement the state government health programs in his constituency, particularly as it concerns senior citizens and those who cannot afford to pay medical bills.
“As a representative of the people, am always working hard to bring programs that will benefit my people and improve their wellbeing. I am working to bring other healthcare programmes particularly for women and people with eye defects after this programme.
“in this phase, we mobilized to treat more than 3,000 people across the six local governments of Okigwe zone’. He said.
