When the South African President Mr. Jacob Zuma flew to Imo State, many wondered why he could have passed Abuja, Nigeria’s capital down to the Eastern Heartland on a two day visit.

Arriving Imo State for talks with the state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha on possible partnerships in various areas of the economy as well as the Rochas Foundation, the South African President was also conferred on a chieftaincy title of “Ochiagha Imo” by Eze Imo, HRH Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri in an event where former President Olusegun Obasanjo presented the certificate to imo’ ugust Visitor.

Reports also have it that the South African president would be expected to assess  over 20,000-hectare, Egbema Industrial Park estimated to cost over N2 billion and the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, while the major controversy was stirred up when his statue was erected at the famous Hero’s Park, Owerri.
