To prove critiques wrong the first Imo Artiste Conference which was geared at empowering artistes turned out to what it was meant to be as artistes were endorsed by Imo State Government and other individuals for further development and promotions.

The event which at the Imo International Convention Center on Saturday April 29, 2017,  was attended by Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and other key government officials also had Tuface Idibia, Mr Atiba, Gospel On The Beatz as well as Big Brother Nigeria housemates Uriel, Tin Tall Tony, Kemen, Coco Ice and Gifty.

In its tripod nature, the event was accommodating the grand finale of Imo Student Talent Hunt Fiesta and the homecoming ceremony of BB Naija housemate Uriel Ngozi Oputa whom the governor made Ambassador of Imo State Carnival.

For the first time, female artistes were flying high, as Neche, Floxy, LadyG and Sparks all took to the stage with impressive performances which saw Gov. Rochas Okorocha charging Tuface Idibia to see to the promotion of LadyG to the top level, while Sparks was adopted by the Chief of Staff to Government House Owerri, Ugwumba Uche Nwoso who will also see to her promotion and development.

Other artistes who got the ultimate favour was EMO who was gifted with his mouth in making a complete music beat as his talent earned him cash reward of more than 2 Million Naira.

Other students were also favoured at the event which also had other Imo State born celebrities present.

The event will be a huge plus in the efforts of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment and Public Affairs, Hon. Irouno Chukwunonye who convened the conference in collaboration with Uriel Nwadiaro of Grey Lines Company.
