Speaking ahead of the event, the SSA on Entertainment and Public Affairs, Hon. Chukwunonye Irouno said the event is in line with the vision of the state governor to transform the entertainment industry into a major pillar for socioeconomic development in Imo State. He revealed that his office is taking things step by step and testimonies have been recorded in the past months.

“We started by showing that Imo is really blessed with talents and we have maintained that consistency by showing that what we have is not a fluke or over hyped individuals. Most of those who had developed love for outside talents have started appreciating what we have here and the next thing is for us to market these talents for general growth and development.

“We are bringing investors in different genres of entertainment to see what we have and also see who and who would be picked on that day. What we are doing has never been done here before and that is also why we are bringing individuals with excellent track record in the industry as speakers to these young ones. They will tell them how to go about their entertainment business, so as to succeed” Hon. Irouno said.
