After 24 hours a former principal manager, Finance and Accounts of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria, Benedict Kpaduwa, was abducted on the premise of his firm, Mekcyn Investment situated in his home town, Anara, in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, he has regained his freedom.
A police source said that Kpaduwa, a Lagos based businessman who had just returned home before he was whisked away by the four armed men, who operated in a Hummer bus, was rescued around 10: 45pm in a forest on Tuesday.

He said that the kidnap victim was rescued unhurt at the Arondizuogu forest in the Ideato North LGA of the state which was the hideout of his abductors.
“I can confirm to you that Ben Kpaduwa has been rescued unhurt. He was rescued around 10:45pm at the dreaded Arondizuogu forest. He has been reunited with his family members immediately “.
He said that some of the abductors of the businessman were apprehended and would soon be paraded to newsmen by the police in Owerri.
A family source who spoke to our correspondent on the phone on the condition of anonymity confirmed the release of his uncle.
The source who could not establish if any ransom was paid for the release of his uncle, said that Kpaduwa, was freed on Tuesday night and everybody was happy that he was not harmed by his kidnappers.
