A former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, has told his predecessor in office, Rochas Okorocha, to stop ridiculing the country’s judicial system by allegedly disobeying numerous court judgements and pronouncements delivered against him and the state government by courts of competent jurisdictions .
Ohakim equally told the governor to allegedly stop converting the assets of the state into personal estate and concentrate more in delivering the gains of the democracy to the citizenry.

The ex-governor stated these in a letter he addressed to Okorocha with the title “still on the trend of events in our state” a copy of which was obtained by our correspondent in Owerri, the state capital.
Ohakim, also asked his successor to obey court ruling on Eze Cletus Ilomuanya and tender a public apology to the embattled traditional ruler.
The former Governor said that the incumbent governor is the only governor in the history of Nigeria who had attracted 32 negative newspaper editorials in six years, with 16 of the editorials coming in his first 16 months in Office.
“your comical behavior and executive brigandage have made Imo the butt of cruel jokes. Nearly six years in office, Imo people cannot discern where you are taking them to, or your policy direction.
“the good people of Imo State have never lived in this type of fear. Can a Governor who threatens his citizens with banishment be trusted to guarantee the security of the state?. Imo State is our collective heritage. It does not belong to your family or mine. Therefore, you lack the audacity to warn any citizen that you will banish him or her “. Part of the letter reads.
Ohakim accused the governor of executive recklessness which led him to sack over 60,000 workers, including 10,000 graduate public servants he employed at the twilight of his administration and allegedly diverting state resources for personal use.
“The only industry thriving in the state today is the burial industry. Imo State under your watch does not even have a single medical consultant in the employment with its attendant implications. The state now has a total of 58 mortuaries from 20 in 2011.
“I marvel each time you are reported as saying that your achievements surpass those of all the 13 previous governors put together. Exactly what do you mean?. Are you aware that the combined current balance of all revenues that have accrued to your administration in only six years is in excess of N982 billion? “.
The chief press secretary to the governor, Sam Onwuemeodo said” Again we have decided not to be replying any former Governor who cannot say what he did with his governorship in the state.
We are fond of talking about our achievements and we can only be replying anybody who has the story of achievements to tell”.
