The free Secondary School Certificate Examination and the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (SSCE/UTME) workshop organized for candidates seating for the examinations in Imo State by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to Imo State Governor on Entertainment and Public Affairs will today Thursday, March 30, 2017 by 2:00pm end in a celebration at Bongo Center, Owerri.

The workshop which is in partnership with the state Ministry of Education and Cambridge College of Advanced Studies, according to the SSA, Hon. Chukwunonye Irouno, will be wrapped up with a treat of comedy, music, dance and drama for the candidates to lighten them up after passing through the training which has been provided by the best hands.

The training which was designed to expose students, candidates and participants to the new computer based short cut methods in calculation in line with the expectations of examination bodies in 21st century kicked off on Monday March 13, 2017at Cambridge College of Advanced Studies, at Shellcamp by Orlu Road, Owerri Imo State and has so far been a blessing in the lives of the participants.

As a part of youth development, advancement and capacity building among students and candidates seating for SSCE/UTME examinations, Hon, Irouno further explained that there is need for the participants to have one day of relaxation after the programme, hence ‘all works without play, makes Jack a dull boy’.

The workshop is intended to further consolidate His Excelency, Gov. Rochas Okorocha’s Free Eductaion programme in Imo State and sponsors are needed to to move the training to other zones of the state as it remains free.
