Less than 72 hours the end came for Nigeria’s deadliest kidnap kingpin and serial killer, Henry Chibueze, popularly known as Vampire, his native doctor has been arrested by the police.
Chibueze, who had killed over 200 people in his criminal and kidnap escapades in the South East and South South Geopolitical zones was shot dead in the early hours of Thursday in the Ikwerre forest in Rivers state during a gun duel with the inspector general of police’s special response squad.

He was on January 27,2017, freed in a commando style by gunmen suspected to be his gang members at the premises of Owerri High court where he was standing trial on kidnap and criminal offenses .
A police source told our correspondent on Monday that the man who was behind the mystical powers of the gunned down kidnap kingpin was arrested by the police in Aba, Abia state on Sunday.
The source disclosed that the suspect,Iweajuo Gad, who is a native doctor was the one who fortified Vampire and his gang members throughout their days of operations which made them indomitable in the hands of security agencies for the past four years they were declared wanted.
According to the source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, charms, amulets and other mystical items were recovered from the suspect by the police.
The source explained further that the police swooped on the suspect in his shrine while he was performing incantations.
When contacted, the Imo State police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Enwerem, confirmed the arrest of the suspect.
The Police spokesperson who declined from disclosing the identity of the herbalist and other details simply told us that the suspect was in the police custody in Owerri and investigations were on going.
