In a bid sensitizes its members and the general public, the Imo State Chapter of Professional Disc Jockey Association of Nigeria PRODJAN will be dedication a section of their 2016 state conference to the education of her members on professionalism and the sensitization of the public on how to work perfectly with a DJ.

The conference which will be taking place on Tuesday November 1, 2016 has the theme ‘My Talent, My Wealth’ and the president of the association, DJ Timberland said that by the time the theme will be x-rayed, most DJs will learn how get the matching financial successes that is due to them at their various levels.

“Most DJs do not have the matching financial success they deserve even after huge investments because of too much mediocre in the system. It’s just like a field where everyone comes in without real training when it is not supposed to be so. This conference will address issues like that”, he said. He then added that the conference will also unify DJs in the state to give them a stronger platform to promote artistes and take them to the next level.

DJ Timberland further hailed the office of the SA on Entertainment to Governor Rochas Okorocha which is being held by Hon. Iruno Chukwunonye for partnering with the DJs and also endorsing the event, adding that the endorsement especially has lifted the event, making it possible for others to come in and work with them.

“Imo State artistes especially have accused DJs of not supporting their hustle; this conference is another platform for us to make them understand why it is so and how they can get through it. The employers of the DJs are another group we would be having at the conference; we will be addressing them in a way to checkmate exploitation of DJs, while some of them will be given awards for their outstanding contribution in the development of the DJ society in the state”, he concluded.

The conference will be holding on Tuesday November 1, 2016 at the Imo International Conference Center Hall 2, Owerri, by 9:00am.
