Addressing a Press Conference in Owerri, the State Capital, Wednesday, the Chairman of the Party in the state, Chief Charles Ezekwem alleged that the policies of the Governor are aimed at suffocating the citizenry and the economy.

Chief Ezekwem claimed that the Governor has embarked on anti-labour friendly and hostile policies.
The Party Chairman said “Workers are being owned salaries of Eight  months and above, while our pensioners are left to wallow at the mercy of God, yet our Governor is busy gallivanting on Omugwo trips”.

PDP further alleged that the Governor has slashed civil servants salaries, suspended workers annual leaves, cancelled leave allowances and has completely bastardised the state.

Chief Ezekwem said “the gory socio-political and economic situation in our beloved Imo State today, easily give any right thinking person goose pimples, there is unarguably, a total collapse of virtually every government institution in the state, as nepotism,  favouritism and high level corruption have become the treadmarks of the APC led administration in the state”.

While urging the people to keep having fate in PDP, Chief Ezekwum enthused that the party under his leadership  PDP is committed to winning back the state in 2019.

The chairman announced Ex-Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO, Prof Jude Njoku as Chairman of reconciliation committee and with Former Deputy Speaker, Chuma Nnaji as the Secretary.

The Committee which has four months to deliver, according to the chairman is expected to reconcile all aggrieved factions so that the party would be intact for the elections ahead.
