The designers who expressed their optimism on the fact that the event will be mostly about the designs and not the names, said they will be taking advantage of the crowd to put themselves on the world fashion map.

Their expectations are based on the fact that the organizers have packaged the event to help both local and top designers launch deeper into the world fashion market. A statement by Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, a United Nations Ambassador and President of United Nations Fashion Week & Awards, has it that the event which has all of it’s proceeds going to the Global Education Fund, would be a fair ground for both the big and small designers.

He assured everyone that they are putting every necessary measure to make the event a memorable one on ground, while also seeing that the participants will not find the event a wasted effort economically.

“We have a great team that is working on the structure of the event and we are really going to make sure that every participant especially the local designers from some of the developing countries go home with a huge testimony.
