It is being speculated among the suffering workers of the  Imo Broadcasting Cooperation, IBC (Orient Television and  Radio Station), Owerri, that the immediate past Director General, Evang. Esther  Obong Egbuna must have died of accumulated tension, following her inability to pay four months salary arrears and 36 months pension arrears.

These were the views of the mourning workers, when the leadership of the Independent Newspaper Publishers Association, INPA paid a condolence visit to the c corporation, Tuesday.

The bemoaning workers alleged that the Treasury Single Account, TSA made it impossible for the late DG to have money at her disposal to off-set the IBC bills in salaries and pensions.

They alleged corruption in the TSA policy now, as the suffering workers claimed that the cooperation was generating enough money to pay its workers and pensioners.
According to them, they would shut down the station any moment from now  in order to make sure that the right things were done.
