The leadership of the police in Imo State, Wednesday, brought to rubies the houses of two notorious kidnap suspects in the state.

The State Commission of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu and the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere supervised the demolition exercise which took place in the suspects’ homes in Ohuba community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, LGA, of the state.

The suspects, according to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO in the state, Mr. Andrew Enwerem are a 27 year old John Chima, popularly known as America and Anderson Ahaneku.

Mr. Enwerem, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, informed that the suspects who are on the run, used the ill gotten money and ransoms they got from kidnapping prominent personalities in the state to build the demolished houses.

DSP Enwerem informed that the Police in the state were committed to riding the state of crimes including kidnapping, which he averred that security chiefs in the state were working hard to stop.
The police spokesperson said that the CP in partnership with the state government are working to make sure that no criminal was allowed to get away with his illegal act or enjoy his loots in the Eastern heartland state.

DSP Enwerem promised that demolition of houses of kidnap syndicates will continue, until the trading in human beings by those he described as heartless people stop, adding that strategies have been intensified to smash more kidnappers dens.
