The traditional rulers made the call Tuesday when a delegation of the four monarchs in Awa led by their chairman, His Royal Highness, Eze Ihezie Felix Ononuju, Eze Ohazurumee of Awa Clan and HRH Eze Dr. A.F. Chimaeze Emetumah, (Duru Emetuma II) of Umuofor Autonomous Community, the secretary, Awa Ward Traditional Council during a chat.

The Royal fathers expressed shock that the GLO of Awa INEC Ward, Hon. Uba single-handedly changed the list of the Community Government Council officials of the ward as supervised by the traditional rulers, while also allegedly forging their signatures in order to authenticate the alleged act.

Continuing, the monarchs disclosed that on noticing the alleged forgery by the GLO, they promptly reported the matter to the Imo State Police Command, adding that while Imo Police were investigating the matter, the GLO through the Police Zone 9 Umuahia arrested them.

Speaking further, the royal fathers revealed that the GLO, has been boycotting them, and has also been taking decisions without consulting them for input. They also alleged that Uba shunned every peace meeting scheduled at Eze’s Palace with a view to finding solution to the problem.

The royal fathers equally accused the GLO of high-handedness and utter disrespect and disregard for traditional rulers which they alleged, were the only reason Uba unilaterally shared employment forms including the agric millionaire loan forms of Governor Okorocha, to his cronies. They also accused him of nominating himself for the position of ISOPADEC commissioner while also recommending his brother’s wife (Blessing) and elder brother for various positions.

They therefore requested the commissioner, Ministry of Community Government Council to reject the CGC list submitted by the GLO, and uphold the original list supervised by the four monarchs in Awa.
They also called on Governor Okorocha who they noted, got 100 percent of their votes in 2011, to give Awa INEC Ward a new GLO in the interest of peace in the area.
